And so it begins.....

I started off pretty well, almost missing final boarding 'cause I thought I had all the time in the world! I ended up running for my life and the plane then was delayed by an hour due to adverse weather conditions....typical. Flight was great, I sat next to an English Woman who teaches in HK so she offered me lots of advice and it was nice to have someone to talk to..... although not sure she was too impressed when I had a few snoozes as thats when Darth Vadar turns up! Also got towatch 2 movies as well as Green WIng, Simpsons and HOTEL BABYLON (Hope Mrs FLN notes that one), listen to the Killers, Lily Allen (so annoyingly addictive) U2 but didnt choose the Johnny Cash option shockingly.

On landing I was way past tired, confused and not amused when my backbacp came through minus the most important buckle! I was concerned as the Baggae ppl said they could pick it up from my hotel and fix within a day.....I agreed but once Id emptied the contents in my hotel room I did wander if Id ever see it again.... but the Lord Jesus taught me trust as it came back today when I got back to hotel so its all good!

On 1st night I decided to go for a 'short walk' to get something for dinner (Had an 11.5 hr flight plus extra 8 hrs with time difference so didnt know what meal I was on for next) but ended up almost getting lost! There are WAY too many McDonalds' plus also a Body Shop, lots of 7-Eleven's which takes me back to my American Travels. Ended up getting a stick of 5 chipalatas (them sausages wrapped in bacon) which cost something like 40p! Anyway when I eventually got back (all by myself without any help from anyone except the Lord Jesus it was midnight here so went to sleep......didnt get much of that though! Oh you'll be amused to learn Im staying in a YWCA hotel in HK (I did check before leaving and it is for all sexes!)

Today (Tuesday) I woke at what I thought was 8am but actually 6am 'cause didnt read my mobile correctly....ended up running my battery down listening to my 'Relax' playlist then got up around 9 and headed down to Hong Kong Island to do some sightseeing. Transport is soooo cheap, for around 6 GBP I did loads of diff jnys, saw Big Buddah & many other sights.

PC keyboard playin up so will end here, wish most of u were here!!

p.s. Az - im wearin reds shirt. ju - saw fulham-spurs gls on a bus...... RANDOM.

It's so beautiful but strange, Kowloon Peninsual is one of the most crowded places on Earth in terms of people and buildings.....even the schools are like mini skyscrapers. Amazing though, esp the Light Show on the harbour at nights.
