Les Mountains de Bleu

Most recently I have been travelling through/around the famous Blue Mountains to the West of Sydney. The plan was to go by train and tour bus but I met up with my mate Matt in Sydney, having met originally in Tasmania then again in Melbourne. We decided to 'GO FOR IT' & hired a car for 4 days. Now this was booked as a tiny 1litre vehicle but as it was ANZAC Day the hire company upgraded us, FOR FREE, to a beast..... 2.5ltr Subaru Forrester 4x4 Automatic with cruise control! A little bigger & more powerful than Rusty (my beloved Peugot 106 of yesteryear) but so great to drive, especially with cruise control at 110km/h! Driving round & up insanely steep windy roads in Megalong Valley was childsplay! Here's a pic of me on the hood:

Other highlights included the Zig-Zag Railway;

The 3 sisters & Echo Point lookout...... thankfully I survived the fall that resulted from Matt's 'funny' push here........

Funny how even in Australia Im not far from Sutton Park.....no sign of The Parkhouse though =(

Also visited the world-famous Jenolan Caves, this we were told is an Angels' wing over the White Altar referred to in Kings (when God proved he was the 1 true God, people then stopped worshipping Baal & the other false gods)

Oh & here's a nice view for the nature-lovers & oldies back home....

Canberra is my next stop to hopefully settle & work for a while to replenish funds! I've now succomed & joined Facebook so look me up on there.

Ciao for now.

Well! Who would believe you got GCSE French!!

Perhaps you meant to say;LES MONTAGNES BLEUES??

Or was it your deliberate attempt at "Frenglish" or "Franglais" ? !!!
