Now to Canberra

I arrived here at end of April and have been staying with friends of Matt/Heidi back home. Paul & Ruth have a lovely home in the South of Canberra/ACT with amazing views over/round the mountains. It's not a buzzing partay city but more of a relaxing place, people work hard & like to chill more than say Sydney or Melbourne.

The city was designed from scratch in early 1900's as Sydney/Melbourne agreed the Capital City should be a new place. Lots of nice buildings/views in the centre around a man-made lake which I've seen a few times....not much rain (YET) but cloud and some nice sunshine so far =)

I'm strugging to 'acclimatise' myself, to find work and affordable accomodation + actual FRIENDS for next few months!! Problem is since Matt died last year and immediaitely McDo job changed I've not had a set-routine and then obviously travelling for 2 months throws you out of any sense of normality!!

Pics to follow (not as eciting as all previous ones though!!)

Say HI to Paul for me and Stephen, and I hope he found HUGE pussy cat to replace Rowli!!

That cat was one BIG moggy!

Matt loved Oz, and he had a great trip out there with Paul in 1999 January.

Some nostalgic photo looking at will now follow for me........And a tear or two, or three........

Hi Chris, Paul may know some good Churches in the area and be able to introduce you to some friends. Can't you stay with them for a while longer?

Thanks for your comments Teapot & Heidi....... I've now left P&R's to move into more permanent accomodation, but will still see them Im sure....... thinking about joining one of their JGen households (of which Matt was the 1st member back in Portsmouth Im informed). Have been to a few churches and met some nice ppl.
